In celebration of the upcoming holidays, an expert-led tour of the unique exhibition Figures in Motion by French artist Edgar Degas will be held on Tuesday, December 24, starting at 7 PM.
Visitors will be guided through the exhibition by museum advisor and Museum Director Dr. Sarita Vujković.
Although this year marks 190 years since Degas’ birth, his art, driven by the senses, intuition, and personal feelings, remains contemporary and progressive to this day. Exploring Degas as a sculptor offers an extraordinarily exciting experience, as this exhibition provides a unique opportunity to discover his artistry in three dimensions, showcasing him as an advanced and innovative artist, a giant of his time, and an inspiration to generations of artists worldwide, stated Vujković.
This prestigious sculpture exhibition has been organized to commemorate the 190th anniversary of the great artist Edgar Degas. It has been realized in collaboration with The Hub of Fine Arts Gallery from Mostar and features pieces from the extensive collection of the MTA Foundation. This is the first time Edgar Degas’ sculptures are being presented in Republika Srpska.
