Record revenues from water fees

The public institution Vode Srpske announced that this year it is achieving record revenues for the budget of Republika Srpska through the collection and monitoring of water fees.

According to the latest data, from January 1 to December 16, a total of 21,668,211 KM has been collected, which is 1,235,248 KM more than the same period last year, and 1,035,364 KM more than in 2021, when the highest annual amount of water fees was collected.

In 2021, a total of 21,710,468 KM was collected in the Republika Srpska budget from water fees, making it almost certain that this year’s total will surpass that amount.

The Department for Collection and Monitoring of Water Fees, within the public institution Vode Srpske, monitors and calculates specific water fees for water users in Republika Srpska in accordance with legal responsibilities.

Based on data from the application used for collecting and monitoring water fees, there has been a noticeable increase in collected funds across almost all types of revenues this year.

According to the current overview, the largest debtors for water fees are the water utilities in Banja Luka, Bijeljina, and Kozarska Dubica.
