Serb member and chairwoman of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, met today in Banja Luka with Hungary’s ambassador to BiH, Krisztián Pósa, to discuss current political topics, regional relations, and Bosnia and Herzegovina’s progress toward EU membership.
Ahead of her departure to Brussels for the EU–Western Balkans Summit, Cvijanović expressed gratitude to Hungary for its good cooperation during its EU Council Presidency and for the sincere and strong support it has extended to BiH on its European path, according to the BiH Presidency Chair’s Office.
Cvijanović emphasized Republika Srpska’s commitment to accelerating the European integration process and advancing reforms. She reiterated that, due to the complex relationships within BiH and various external influences, all levels of government in the country must be actively involved in the European integration process in accordance with the constitutional structure of BiH and the agreed coordination mechanism.
She particularly highlighted the partnership and friendly relations between Republika Srpska and Hungary, as well as the good institutional, political, and economic cooperation that continues to progress to the mutual satisfaction of both sides.
