The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Radovan Višković, announced that a project agreement with a foreign investor for the preparation of technical and project documentation for the construction of a fast road from Trebinje through Gacko to Višegrad will be finalized in the coming days.
- “This is our obligation as institutions of Republika Srpska,” Višković told reporters in Trebinje.
Trebinje hospital and airport projects
Višković stated that the new hospital in Trebinje is expected to be operational by September. Regarding the Trebinje airport project, he noted that €2 million has been spent on expropriation, with an additional €8 million required for completion.
- “There is a serious intention to build this facility,” he emphasized.
Energy projects and regional cooperation
Višković highlighted multiple energy projects, including Mrsovo, Bistrica, and Buk Bijela, and expressed readiness to develop these in partnership with Serbia.
- “I believe these projects are important for both Republika Srpska and Serbia,” he added.
He proposed creating a list of priority projects to be adopted in September in collaboration with the Serbian government, enabling easier financial planning.
- “Our role is to work, build, and develop, ensuring there are no obstacles to cooperation,” Višković stated.
Meeting with high-level officials in Trebinje
Today, a meeting took place in Trebinje involving the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, Prime Minister Radovan Višković, and the Prime Minister of Serbia, Miloš Vučević, alongside the city leadership.
The discussions focused on infrastructure and other projects in the city. Attendees included the Deputy Mayor of Trebinje, Dražen Bošković, the General Director of “Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske,” Luka Petrović, and heads of municipal departments.
