Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and part of the international community act against the interests of the Serb people

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and part of the international community openly work against the interests of the Serb people in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as evidenced by the case of war criminal Sakib Mahmuljin, who has been evading serving his prison sentence for crimes against Serbs for two years, stated the president of the Republika Srpska Association of Camp Detainees, Anđelko Nosović.

Nosović emphasized that, on the other hand, Bosniaks and Croats who committed war crimes against the Serb people during the last war have not been prosecuted, or their arrests have been deliberately delayed and prolonged.

He pointed out that the outcome of the court process against Mahmuljin should have been serving his prison sentence for crimes committed against Serbs, but the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina deliberately allowed him to leave Bosnia and Herzegovina to avoid accountability for war crimes.

According to Nosović, the same court is conducting an accelerated “criminal” process against the legally elected President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, for actions that were within his rights and obligations under the laws and Constitution of Republika Srpska, for which he was elected by the Serb people.

“Republika Srpska must remain united and stand in defense of its institutions and legally elected representatives, thereby defending Orthodoxy and Srpska,” concluded Nosović.

The former commander of the Third Corps of the so-called Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sakib Mahmuljin, fled Bosnia and Herzegovina to Turkey after being sentenced in April 2022 to eight years in prison for crimes against war prisoners and Serb civilians in the Vozuća and Zavidovići areas in 1995.

On November 28 last year, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued an order for an international warrant for Mahmuljin, followed by a request to Turkey for his extradition.

Mahmuljin was initially sentenced to ten years in prison for failing to prevent and punish crimes committed by members of the “El Mujahideen” unit, which was part of the Third Corps under his direct command.
