A concert honoring Mozart at the National Theatre of Republika Srpska

The Great Stage of the National Theatre of Republika Srpska will host another remarkable concert, this time a co-production of the Symphony Orchestra of Mostar and the Symphony Orchestra of the National Theatre of Republika Srpska.

The concert, titled Viva Mozart, dedicated to the genius of Mozart, will feature overtures and arias from his operas. It is scheduled to take place on Monday, November 25, starting at 8 PM.

The arias performed will showcase the roles of women with varying personalities, virtues, flaws, and characters.

“The role of women in Mozart’s operas remains profoundly significant. It is no coincidence that the premiere concert in Banja Luka is held on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women,” said conductor Dušan Vere Urošević. He added that through this concert, the artists aim to draw attention to the pressing issue of violence against women, using music and words in a manner fitting for their art form.

The soloists include Albina Smajlović Tomić (soprano), Borjana Mikavica (mezzo-soprano), Ivana Milinčić (soprano), Milica Damjanac (soprano), Mladen Prodan (tenor), and Aleksandar Dragojević (baritone).

The concert will be conducted by Dušan Vere Urošević.

On the same occasion, the concert will also be performed on December 6 at 8 PM at the Croatian Home “Herceg Stjepan Kosača” in Mostar.
