Prijedor: 72nd theater season opened with the play “Gvozden”

The 72nd theater season of the Prijedor Theater ensemble was inaugurated with the premiere of the play “Gvozden,” directed by Marko Vukosav. The play draws inspiration from local folklore and is tailored for children.

In “Gvozden,” the process of growing up is depicted through the cycle of the seasons.

Facing fears and uncertainties encourages individuals to stride through life with courage.

  • “I interpreted this as an adolescent story when we all leave home at some point and are then forced to deal with external challenges, which can sometimes be daunting,” said Darko Stojić, an actor from the Prijedor Theater.

Fairy tales, often synonymous with childhood, aim to familiarize children with everyday life, which is filled with both joyful and challenging moments.

The play is suitable for children aged five and above. Director Marko Vukosav weaves motifs from traditional tales into the narrative.

“The message is that one must fight through life and strive to give their best to achieve a happy ending,” said Vukosav.

The first encore performance of the play will take place tonight at the Prijedor Theater at 6 p.m.
