Dodik: Clark consoles himself even 25 years after the bombing of Serbia

“I don’t know if Wesley Clark is consoling himself, encouraging other hawks from 1990s American politics, or simply underestimating the intelligence of his citizens and the rest of the world when he continues to declare pride in the series of war crimes committed against the Serbian people even 25 years after the bombing,” said the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik.

Retired U.S. General Wesley Clark told ABC News that Serbia should recognize so-called Kosovo* and expressed pride in the bombing of Belgrade.

“Wesley Clark knows that they placed dynamite in international law at that time, just as he knows they tried to destroy the UN Charter with brute force by violently seizing Kosovo and Metohija from Serbia and the Serb people in 2008. When listening to or reading Wesley Clark, one must keep in mind that he is part of the establishment that imagined the 21st century as the century of U.S. dominance — that they could act on behalf of the U.S. however, wherever, and for as long as they wished,” Dodik emphasized.

Dodik noted that it is no coincidence that Clark repeats these illusions today in Kosovo And Metohija, where he profits financially and attempts to capitalize on his wartime actions with lucrative business ventures.

“Media in his country revealed that Clark was involved in various investment attempts in Kosovo’s energy sector. Starting in 2012, he tried to secure rights over Kosovo*’s vast lignite reserves — the fifth largest in the world — for the Canadian company Enviditi Energy Inc., where he served as chairman,” Dodik said.

“And since he touched on Donald Trump while digging into Serb wounds and expressing pride over his war crimes during the bombings, it’s worth reminding him of what President Trump actually said about his 1999 aerial rampage: ‘The bombing brought ruin, chaos, and terror to Kosovo*. I don’t know if they see that as a success, but I don’t consider it one,’” concluded President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik.
