Banja Luka boxer Tomislav Vukomanović faces a new challenge as he prepares to defend his NABC youth welterweight title.
Vukomanović and his team have traveled to Belgrade, where he will defend his title on November 8 at the Memorial Tournament “Prof. Dr. Miroslav Popović” in the “Majdan” hotel.
Over the past few months, Vukomanović has trained intensely to defend the title he claimed on July 12 in Banja Luka.
“The excitement is at its peak as I approach my next challenge—the fight at the memorial on November 8 in the ‘Majdan’ hotel in Belgrade. This match holds special significance, as I’m defending my NABC youth world welterweight title. It’s not only a chance to retain the belt but also to honor a legend who contributed so much to the sport with his knowledge and love for boxing. My opponent, Colombian boxer Alexander Moreno Palacio, has an impressive record with seven wins, five of which were knockouts, and only one loss. However, I’ve worked hard and hope for the best in the upcoming duel,” the young boxer said.
The boxer from Republika Srpska also expressed gratitude to those who have supported him on his journey to defend his title.
“I owe special thanks to promoters Saša Kondić and Saša Lukić for their incredible support, as well as to the president of the Serb Professional Boxing Federation, Lena Zečević. A huge thanks also goes to Luka Popović, who has been with us since my first steps into professional boxing. I would also like to thank the president of Republika Srpska, Mr. Milorad Dodik, and the mayor of Banja Luka, Mr. Draško Stanivuković, for their support during my preparation for this match. Their encouragement means a lot to me and motivates me to fight with all my heart, representing Republika Srpska and Banja Luka in the best way possible. Above all, I owe my deepest gratitude to my father and trainer, who pushes me forward every day, investing all his knowledge and energy into my progress,” Vukomanović concluded.
