In the spring, travel agencies from Republika Srpska will present their offerings to potential Russian guests in Saint Petersburg, focusing on the spas of Kulaši, Vrućica, and Terme Ozren, along with the cities of Trebinje and Banja Luka, stated Zoran Preradović, director of the travel agency “Unis-tours.”
“Russians are demanding guests and travelers. Republika Srpska has three spas that meet certain standards for potential Russian visitors and potentially the Olympic Center Jahorina. Among cities, the focus will be on Trebinje and Banja Luka,” Preradović emphasized.
He explained that destinations like Višegrad and Sutjeska National Park lack sufficient high-quality accommodation to meet Russian guests’ standards.
“Banja Luka will offer excursions to Jajce, Prijedor, and Kozara National Park, while Trebinje will include trips to Mostar and Sutjeska National Park,” Preradović added.
He also noted that Srpska offers an attractive proposition for Russian athletes to conduct training camps, with affordable facilities, particularly for tennis, and competitive rates for coaches and venues compared to Russian cities.
Presenting Srpska’s offerings in Saint Petersburg is seen as an excellent opportunity to attract new visitors.
“Russian travelers are currently limited in their travel options to certain European countries, and I believe there’s room for them to start visiting Republika Srpska,” Preradović concluded.
Earlier this week, Srpska’s Minister of Trade and Tourism, Denis Šulić, held a meeting with representatives from the Tourism Organization of Srpska, the Srpska Chamber of Commerce, and local travel agencies. They agreed to prepare a unified presentation of Srpska’s tourist products, which the delegation will showcase in Saint Petersburg in the spring.
