Republika Srpska deserves an America that respects the Dayton constitutional framework of BiH and the sovereignty of local institutions, rather than one that imposes ambassadorial whims and contributes to instability, emphasized Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik.
“The systems in both the USA and BiH are based on principles of checks and balances to ensure equality and prevent the dominance of any one side. Just as the most populous state, California, cannot impose its will on the entire American union, majoritarianism cannot succeed in BiH either,” President Dodik stated in a statement for SRNA.
Stating that Donald Trump understands this dynamic and will, unlike previous administrations, have a better grasp of the situation in BiH, Dodik added that Trump would not sacrifice BiH’s stability and progress for the sake of experiments and the petty games of a few who have built careers and profited on such endeavors.
“For this reason, I call on all members of the Serbian community in the USA to support Republican candidate Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential elections. His return to the helm of the USA would signal a return to a reasonable and fair foreign policy essential for global stability,” stated Dodik.
He assessed that a victory for Donald Trump would also mean a victory for family and traditional values, which form the foundation of European and Western civilization.
“These values have recently been threatened by ideologies that place family and tradition in the background. Trump’s victory would symbolize the defense and restoration of these foundations, preserving the cultural and moral identity of our societies. The future of political processes in BiH must be in the hands of local politicians, with foreign interventionism left in the past,” President Dodik emphasized.
He noted that Trump’s first term demonstrated that he is a president of peace, leading global politics responsibly and respecting the unique characteristics of all parties. Dodik expressed confidence that a second term would bring about improved relations between Republika Srpska and the USA.
“As a family man, Christian, Serb, father, grandfather, and above all, a rational and pragmatic politician, I sincerely hope for Donald Trump’s victory. America, under his leadership, would be an America that understands diversity and uses it to bring about positive change, instead of an America that loses itself by imposing policies and ideologies that even its own people do not fully accept,” Dodik emphasized.
He added that he awaits Trump’s victory with hope and looks forward to a new era of cooperation with the White House.
