“There will be no alignment with the EU visa regime. We won’t abandon our friends. We have high expectations from the European Union, especially considering past agreements and promises that have not fully matched the significant progress Bosnia and Herzegovina has achieved,” stated Milorad Dodik, President of Republika Srpska.
Dodik added that someone must come forward to clarify if excuses will continue or if Bosnia and Herzegovina will be given a fair chance.
“Spreading misinformation that Republika Srpska is blocking progress is not a good-faith approach. It is well known that for more than six months, the Bosniaks held the House of Peoples in a blockade, halting the Growth Plan. They have taken on a Muslim stance that further hinders all processes,” Dodik posted on X.
He stressed that this has led to increasing Bosniak arrogance, which will now become apparent.
“We demand consistency from Europe. If that doesn’t happen—as it has failed many times in the past—we are prepared for it, and one could say we’re accustomed to this hypocritical policy. Our commitment to the EU is clear, but that does not mean we will accept false accusations, blackmail, or conditions. Boundaries exist. We demand respect and to be treated as an equal partner; that is the minimum for any further dialogue,” the President of Republika Srpska concluded.
