The Investment-Development Bank of Republika Srpska (IRB) is actively preparing for the major, unified event “Invest Srpska”—an investment conference and investment forum—to be held on November 12 and 13 at Jahorina, announced acting director of the IRB, Srđan Jovanović.
Jovanović emphasized that the largest investment event in Republika Srpska will bring together top representatives of institutions, as well as businesspeople and companies from Republika Srpska, the region, and the world.
He highlighted that confirmations of attendance have already been received from businesspeople, companies, and institutions from countries such as Serbia, India, Slovakia, Switzerland, Austria, Israel, Hungary, China, Italy, Luxembourg, the United Arab Emirates, Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria, the United States, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Croatia, and Greece. More registrations are expected in the coming days.
Jovanović explained that over the two conference days, discussions will focus on development, investments, current global events, and their impact on economic trends, with a special emphasis on direct meetings and connections between local and foreign businesspeople.
“The first day is reserved for the investment conference, which is being organized for the fourth time by the IRB of Republika Srpska. Through various panels, the goal is to identify new directions and guidelines for the further development of Republika Srpska,” Jovanović said.
He recalled that last year marked the inaugural investment forum, an impressive event held at Banski Dvor in Banja Luka, where over 300 participants from 22 countries gathered to learn about Republika Srpska and its investment potential.
“The IRB succeeded in its goal of putting Republika Srpska on the map of the global business world. This year, the forum will continue on the second day of the event, where we will discuss concrete investment opportunities and offers from Republika Srpska and its cities and municipalities,” Jovanović explained.
He noted that the conference will feature discussions on investing in specific business zones, and, as with last year, a special part of the forum will be dedicated to direct “B2B” meetings between local and foreign businesspeople.
“We will present local companies that are ready to be sold to foreign investors or to enter into joint business ventures. This is a concrete business opportunity for connecting Republika Srpska’s businesspeople with foreign investors through partnerships or direct investments,” said Jovanović.
He also pointed out that the event, as is tradition, is organized in cooperation with the Government of Republika Srpska, with support from President Milorad Dodik.
The IRB has secured a significant international partner for this year’s event, “Eim Congress,” the world’s largest investment platform, which boasts over 20,000 investors from 175 countries. Jovanović expressed great satisfaction that “Eim Congress” has partnered with the IRB of Republika Srpska for this event.
“Through their network, they are also inviting investors to come to Jahorina. This partnership confirms that the IRB of Republika Srpska has done an excellent job in promoting investment potential and has gained credibility in collaborating with international companies,” Jovanović told Srna.
“Eim Congress” is a leading global investment platform that fosters business ideas worldwide. Its goal is to help developing countries attract foreign direct investments and provide a framework for global dialogue on key principles that underpin international investment policies, strategies, and practices for sustainable development to achieve smart and inclusive global growth.
