The offer made to the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, to accept the centralization of Bosnia and Herzegovina in exchange for an acquittal in the Court of BiH, shows that the process is being used as pressure for Srpska and Serbs to agree to things contrary to the Dayton Agreement, said political analyst Stevica Deđanski to Srna.
“This shows that the process is purely political and has nothing to do with any violation of anything, but is being used to pressure Dodik, that is, Republika Srpska and the Serb people, to accept something that goes against the Dayton Agreement and is not in the interest of the Serb people,” Deđanski explained.
He emphasized that Dodik has now exposed this with his brave defense and stance, refusing to accept anything that does not follow the rules, even if it personally creates problems for him.
Deđanski believes this confirms that the trial against the President of Srpska is politically motivated, adding that “many politicians would gladly appease the West, thereby undermining Republika Srpska.”
“This is the right stance, and I am, in principle, glad they presented it as an offer. Those who previously doubted the political motivation behind this should now be convinced,” Deđanski concluded.
President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik stated after the trial on Wednesday, October 16, that he was offered an acquittal in exchange for accepting various proposals regarding the centralization of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which he refused.
Dodik emphasized that this is why efforts are being made to expedite the trial, which is being conducted before the Court of BiH for his non-compliance with Christian Schmidt’s decisions.
