Today, I spoke with representatives of the Chinese companies “China Overseas Engineering Group Co. Ltd.” and “China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group Co.” about all activities related to the construction of the Brčko-Bijeljina highway, spanning 17 kilometers.
- They informed me that almost all property-legal issues have been resolved, and that funding for this project has been approved by a Chinese bank – wrote the President of Srpska on the social media platform X.
Dodik mentioned that it is expected for the design phase and all preparatory activities to be completed by April 2025, after which the construction work will begin, with the main works anticipated to be completed by the fall of 2026.
Republika Srpska is committed to further investments in key infrastructure projects that connect Republika Srpska with the Republic of Serbia, Dodik added.
