Participation at the upcoming BRICS Forum in Kazan is a great recognition for Republika Srpska and our policy, said the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, in an interview for RTRS.
Dodik emphasized that the forum, which will take place from October 22 to 24, will see Republika Srpska attend as an observer.
- “I was invited by the Russian side, and Republika Srpska will participate as an observer. We will try to present the possibility for the leaders of the movement to consider whether autonomous regions or provinces can become members of the alliance. During the forum in Kazan, I will also meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin,” Dodik said.
He highlighted that he regularly meets with the Russian ambassador, confirming the friendly relations between Republika Srpska and Russia.
- “Russia is our friendly country, and I have great respect for Russian President Vladimir Putin. He is a man of peace, a strong leader of his country and people, and one of the most important global leaders,” Dodik stated.
Speaking about the conflict in Ukraine, Dodik pointed out that the conflict was imposed on Russia by the expansionist West, adding that the situation is perfectly clear to him.
Dodik also commented on the letter of support from Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
- “Lavrov’s letter of support means a lot to me. While the West tries to punish us, the Russians, through the President of Srpska, wish the best for Srpska,” Dodik concluded.
