Minister of Education and Culture of Republika Srpska, Željka Stojičić, emphasized that the upcoming 29th International Book Fair “Banja Luka 2024” is an excellent opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the rich world of literature and culture, as it will expand their knowledge and broaden their horizons.
Stojičić encouraged students to visit this year’s fair with their teachers, which will take place from Tuesday, September 17, to Monday, September 23, organized by “Glas Srpske” at the Borik Sports Center in Banja Luka.
“Visiting the book fair is a traditional activity that has been part of school programs in previous years, and interested schools will have the opportunity to organize student visits this year as well,” Stojičić told Srna.
She noted that the Book Fair is one of the most important cultural events in Srpska, supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Republika Srpska.
“The Ministry supports organized school visits to the fair, as it offers all visitors, especially students, the chance to discover new literary works, meet local and international authors, and develop a love for reading and literature,” Stojičić added.
The Organizing Committee of the event previously announced that the 29th International Book Fair will be held from September 17 to 23 at the Borik Sports Center. The theme of this year’s fair will be the presentation of both domestic and international publishers’ productions, featuring authors and various related programs.
They also highlighted that the Banja Luka Book Fair is a place for promoting new editions and provides an opportunity to meet publishers and well-known writers.
