Višković meets with representatives of “Avik” company

The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Radovan Višković, along with Finance Minister Zora Vidović, Energy and Mining Minister Petar Đokić, and the Director of Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske Luka Petrović, held a meeting today with representatives of the company “Avik,” led by Vi Ping, the director of the company’s branch in Foča, which is implementing the Bistrica hydropower plant construction project.

The meeting focused on the progress of the project and the credit agreement with a Chinese bank, while Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske has secured 30 percent of the funding for the project according to the financial plan, according to a statement from the Public Relations Bureau.

Since the start of the project, 70 percent of the work, including the challenging task of tunneling, has been completed within a year. Additionally, 30 percent of the construction work on the HE1 dam, the machine building, and other parts of the project have been finished.

During his first visit to the People’s Republic of China, Prime Minister Višković discussed the Bistrica Hydropower Plant project with the company “Avik,” which led to the project’s implementation and ongoing work.

The work is progressing according to schedule, with the completion of the Bistrica hydropower plant expected within three years.
