Real GDP growth of Republika Srpska at 2.2 percent

The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Republika Srpska in the second quarter of this year, expressed in current prices, amounted to 4.19 billion BAM, reflecting a real growth of 2.2 percent compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Republic Institute of Statistics.

The gross value added in the second quarter of this year reached 3.36 billion BAM, while the value of taxes on products, less subsidies on products, was slightly over 830 million BAM.

The highest percentage increase in gross value added during the second quarter of this year compared to the same period last year was 8.2 percent in the sectors of trade, transportation and storage, accommodation services, food preparation and serving, hospitality, and catering.

In the financial and insurance sectors, the gross value added grew by 5.5 percent.

A decline in gross value added of 6.6 percent was observed in the manufacturing industry, production and supply of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning, water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities during the same period.
