Yesterday, the Council Hall of Banski Dvor in Banja Luka hosted the promotion of the book “The European Human Rights Protection System,” authored by Prof. Dr. Predrag Raosavljević and Mr. Iur. Filip Novaković. This event garnered attention from the professional public, lawyers, students, and all those interested in human rights issues within the European context.
The book “The European Human Rights Protection System” offers a comprehensive overview of the institutional and normative framework for human rights protection in Europe. The authors analyze the European Convention on Human Rights, the role of the European Court of Human Rights, and the implications of this court’s decisions on the legislation of European countries.
Prof. Dr. Predrag Raosavljević, one of the authors, stated, “This book is the result of years of research and practical experience in the field of human rights. We aimed to provide readers with a clear and detailed picture of how the European human rights protection system operates, with particular focus on the challenges and dilemmas that arise in practice.”
The other author, Mr. Iur. Filip Novaković, added, “We hope this book will become an indispensable handbook for all lawyers and law students who wish to deepen their knowledge on this important topic. Our goal was to explain the complex legal mechanisms and institutions that form the backbone of human rights protection in Europe in an understandable way.”
The promotion was held in a pleasant atmosphere, with numerous guests from the academic community, judicial institutions, and media representatives in attendance. After the presentation of the book, the audience had the opportunity to ask the authors questions and participate in a discussion on current human rights protection issues in the region and beyond.
The book “The European Human Rights Protection System” is available for purchase in bookstores across Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as online. The authors expressed hope that their work will contribute to a better understanding and application of human rights in practice and inspire new generations of lawyers to dedicate themselves to this field.
