Minister of Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education of Republika Srpska Željko Budimir stated to RTRS that today’s hearing for Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik and Acting Director of the Official Gazette of Republika Srpska Miloš Lukić is a continuation of the farce before the Court of BiH, in which legal means are being used as tools of pressure and blackmail.
Budimir emphasized that this is a political process where Dodik and Lukić are being judged based on a decision by Christian Schmidt, which is contrary to the Constitution of BiH.
He highlighted that the chief judge in this case is U.S. Ambassador to BiH Michael Murphy, while the Court of BiH merely acts as the “executor of the work.”
Budimir stressed that the goal of this staged process is the political disqualification of Dodik and the SNSD, the strongest party in BiH.
“This is pressure before the election campaign. Everything is timed to weaken the political structure in Republika Srpska and bring someone to power who listens to foreign embassies,” Budimir stated.
Ilić: Gathering in front of the Court of BiH shows support for Dodik and Lukić
Mladen Ilić, a representative in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska and a lawyer, stated that this is not a trial but a political process that has been ongoing for a long time, aimed at unjustly convicting Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik as soon as possible.
“This has nothing to do with law or the Constitution. The gatherings in front of the Court of BiH are proof that people are ready to show their support for Lukić and Dodik. Every hearing is proof that we are always there for them,” Ilić emphasized.
