The failure to adopt the reform agenda has significantly slowed down the economic growth of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), stated Zlatan Klokić, Minister for European Integration and International Cooperation of Republika Srpska, during RTRS morning program.
“On the other hand, we have indicators that show continuous growth year by year in Republika Srpska,” Klokić highlighted.
To recall, four cantons from the Federation of BiH, where the majority is gathered around the SDA, did not support the Reform Agenda, thereby blocking the first tranche of 70 million euros intended for BiH from the Balkan Development Plan. The US Embassy has blamed Republika Srpska for this blockage.
“In the US Embassy, when they wake up in the morning and look out the window, whether it rains, snows, or the sun shines, they blame the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik,” Klokić remarked.
He added that out of 112 measures, Republika Srpska has adopted and aligned 110, and that the remaining two are a red line for Republika Srpska that cannot be crossed.
“The issue of foreign judges in the Constitutional Court of BiH needs to be resolved first, and then we can talk about filling the judge positions from Republika Srpska. This Constitutional Court always makes decisions that are detrimental to Republika Srpska, and it is clear that they are politically motivated,” Klokić concluded.
