The Borac Swimming Club from Banja Luka will have its representative at the Olympic Games for the second time.

The first to break the ice was Željko Panić back in 2000 in Sydney, and now it’s the turn of the younger generation, with Jovan Lekić stepping up.

Today, Jovan, along with his coach Željko Panić, conducted a simulation of the 400m freestyle race in which he will compete in Paris in seven days.

“In the past 30 days, we have worked according to the system that Jovan follows in America, so we didn’t have to reinvent the wheel. Everything fit nicely since our program is almost identical to the training regimen at LSU (Louisiana State University), which suited him well as he didn’t have to adapt to a new training system,” said Panić.

Jovan’s 400m freestyle race is scheduled for July 27 around 11:00 AM local time.
