A delegation from the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Tajikistan, led by the National Coordinator for Police Reform, Major General of Police Azizullozoda Safialo, along with members of the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe, paid a three-day study visit to the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska.

  • “The Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Tajikistan, while working on the draft of the new Police Law, expressed interest in exchanging experiences with the police of Republika Srpska regarding the transformation from traditional to modern police forces, with an emphasis on community policing and intelligence-led policing,” the statement from the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska said.

According to the statement, during their visit, the Tajikistani delegation met with leaders of the Ministry and visited numerous organizational units, where they were briefed on the responsibilities, work methods, and capacities of the Ministry. On this occasion, the representatives of the delegation expressed their gratitude for the efforts of the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska during their visit and their satisfaction with the presented work.

The visit of the delegation from Tajikistan underscores the fact that the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska is recognized as a respectable police force that contributes to strengthening cooperation beyond the borders of our country by sharing its knowledge and experience regarding police modernization.
