Đorđe Perić, a young accordion virtuoso from Bijeljina, won the international “Vivat Bajan” festival in Moscow, which concluded today, announced the “Kornelije Stanković” Music School.

Đorđe triumphed in the junior variety category, earning the maximum number of points. His achievement is even more impressive as he was the only competitor from his country.

The festival in Moscow, which has been promoting art and proving its quality and prestige for 22 years, featured more than 300 accordionists from Russia, China, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Serbia, and both Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH.

A notable highlight was the impressive “Parade of Bayanists,” with a record 600 registered chamber ensembles.

The festival also set a world record for the number of participants playing together in an orchestra, performing the Russian anthem.
