Borac successfully concluded their preparations in Slovenia by defeating Korvinul Hunedoara 2-0 (Vuković 11’, Karolina 71’) in their third friendly match.

The coaching staff is satisfied with the performance and the overall training camp in Terme Zreče.

“We can be satisfied with the result and the game we showed today. We gave the players more minutes than in the previous match. It was expectedly a bit of a nervous game, more so from the guests, but our guys showed composure, good concentration, and ultimately won. The most important thing is that we finished the game without any injuries and achieved everything we planned,” said Mladen Žižović.

Head coach Mladen Žižović says that everything planned was executed and that the team’s form is on an upward trajectory.

“We have a lot of room for improvement. It is evident that at certain points in the game, we don’t have complete control, but over time, this will get better and better. The players have confirmed their quality in some elements of the game that were quite good last season. We were superior in certain situations, which may still be early, and we maintained a winning mentality, which is very important for the upcoming match. I hope we continue in this manner,” said Žižović.

The team will return to Banja Luka after a recovery training session.

The players will have the weekend off, and from Monday, the full focus will be on the upcoming double-header against Egnatia.

The first European opponent is already being analyzed by the coaching staff.

“We watched two matches live, one by my assistant and the other by myself. Tomorrow we will stay to watch their match against Maribor here in the vicinity. It is a very organized team that has been together for a long time. They can cause problems if we let them play, especially on our half. They have a certain strategy that they have implemented in these two matches. We will analyze them thoroughly, and I believe that in Banja Luka, in front of our fans, we absolutely have a chance to achieve a favorable result before the trip to Tirana,” Žižović concluded.
