Manfred Penc, the Minister for European and Federal Affairs of the German state of Hesse, stated that he had an open conversation with the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, today in Banja Luka.
“It is very important to listen to everything that is said. I believe the region is at a historic moment, and now everyone needs to catch that rhythm,” Penc said at a press conference after the meeting.
He emphasized that everyone must now move closer to the European Union.
“For the benefit of the region, but also for the European Union. There is no doubt that people here are oriented towards the European Union. However, no one should lose their identity because of that,” Penc stated.
He firmly believes that the countries of the region should join the European Union.
