Banja Luka writer Stevan Grabovac, the author of the novel “After the Party,” has been awarded the “Vladan Desnica” prize in Belgrade, presented by the National Library of Serbia.
This prize is the only literary award in Serbia that is given by writers to writers.
The nine-member jury was chaired by academician Dušan Kovačević.
Grabovac is the seventieth recipient of the prestigious NIN Award for his novel “After the Party,” which was published last year by the Banja Luka publisher Imprimatur.
To date, Grabovac has published a collection of poems titled “Station of Non-Existent Trains” in 2007, and his first novel “Mulatto Albino Mosquito” was shortlisted for the NIN Award in 2019.
