Dodik: Historians will write about the great Serb victory

Many historians will write about the great Serb victory, namely the breakthrough of the Corridor through Posavina on Vidovdan in 1992, in which 855 soldiers of the Army of Republika Srpska and 14 members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Srpska were killed, said the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik.

“Many will write about this victory, as if this military operation had not been devised, it is questionable how Republika Srpska would look today,” Dodik stated.

Republika Srpska is not a mere act of defiance, added Dodik, emphasizing that the Serb Orthodox Church has preserved the identity of the Serb people.

“Srpska originates from the freedom of the Serb people. From 1992 to the present, Srpska has survived a very difficult and challenging period,” Dodik said in his address at Duga Njiva, where the 32nd anniversary of the Corridor breakthrough is being commemorated today.

Dodik added that the modern world is doing everything to destroy identity, and noted that the Serb people have always honorably stood before the enemy.

He expressed hope that more and more people will gather at such commemorations each year, as the Corridor breakthrough is a victory of essential importance.

“Whenever freedom is threatened, Serbs have stood to defend that freedom. If Republika Srpska had existed, our sufferings would not have happened. This is a historic victory; this struggle was part of the coordination of our army, which was successfully completed,” Dodik noted.

Dodik added that Srpska does not wave war flags, but flags of peace.

“We celebrate Republika Srpska as we want, not as someone tells us. The Serb people want what they have achieved and as it is written in the Dayton Agreement; if not, we do not need BiH,” Dodik emphasized.

He stated that he has no right to retreat, even if the American ambassador is present.

Dodik called on those present to carefully read the Declaration of the All-Serb Assembly, which encompasses Serb interests.

He said that the Serb people from this area must know that the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, understands the situation and the position of the Serbian people, which is why he is not liked in Sarajevo.
