The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Radovan Višković, stated that the American sanctions are aimed at the demonization and abolition of Republika Srpska.
Višković emphasized that the explanations for the sanctions are laughable and pathetic, imposed without evidence and facts, based on the principle that “the more powerful and stronger do as they wish.”
The Prime Minister stressed that this is an open attack on Republika Srpska and the Serbian people.
He said that the accusations of corruption are unfounded, and that the real agenda is the confiscation of property and resources of Republika Srpska.
Višković highlighted that the goal of the sanctions and pressures is to economically weaken and exhaust Republika Srpska, with the aim of “bringing in leadership that would comply with what the American powers want, which is to bend the knee.”
“It is obvious that since Dayton, someone has been given a different promise, and the creators of the Dayton Agreement likely intended it to be a transitional phase, with the ultimate goal of making BiH a unitary state,” Višković stated.
The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska assured that the current leadership of Srpska will not succumb to these pressures.
To remind, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Department of the Treasury has added seven companies and two businessmen from Republika Srpska to the sanctions list.
