Payment of 30 million KM debt by Indirect Taxation Authority to Srpska postponed again

The Minister of Finance of Republika Srpska, Zora Vidović, announced to RTRS that the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued a decision to postpone the collection of a 30 million KM debt owed to Republika Srpska by the Indirect Taxation Authority (UIO) for another year.

Based on the final judgment of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the settlement of debt from revenue distribution for 2009 and 2010, UIO is obligated to pay Republika Srpska 30 million KM with interest.

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has repeatedly delayed the execution of this final judgment. In July 2023, the execution of the judgment was postponed until June 18 of this year.

The Ministry of Finance of Republika Srpska had already recovered 4.7 million KM through the blockage of UIO accounts in 2018. However, the remaining amount has not been paid despite the final judgment, as the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina continues to defer further execution of the judgment.
