The latest package of US sanctions, like all previous ones, represents purely political pressure on the leadership of Republika Srpska, headed by Milorad Dodik, because they refuse to trample on the interests of Republika Srpska and the Serb people for the sake of foreign and alien interests, emphasized Radovan Kovačević, delegate of the Club of Serbs in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- In their explanation, they cite Dodik’s policy, which they call “undermining Dayton,” but we all know it is about protecting the Dayton Agreement and the guaranteed rights of Republika Srpska – Kovačević told Srna regarding the US sanctions imposed on seven entities, as well as the owner of Infinity Group, Đorđe Đurić, and the general director of Kaldera Company, Milenko Čičić.
He pointed out that it is not true that Milorad Dodik attacks or undermines the Dayton Peace Agreement in any way; the truth is the opposite – that Milorad Dodik, together with all of us in Republika Srpska, is the one protecting the Dayton Peace Agreement, the guaranteed rights of Republika Srpska, and everything guaranteed to us when we signed the Dayton Peace Agreement.
Kovačević emphasized that these are the facts, just as it is a fact that these sanctions exert tremendous pressure and cause significant problems for many people employed by these companies.
He highlighted that Republika Srpska will find a way to help its businessmen and protect the jobs and salaries of every worker.
Kovačević stated that it is true that Republika Srpska is under great pressure, but it is equally true that Republika Srpska will emerge victorious, free, and sovereign, with all the rights guaranteed by the Dayton Agreement signed in 1995.
- If all these things mentioned in this shameful and false explanation were true, the US Embassy would have surely provided this information to the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, for which they are so keen to ensure its existence, even though it operates based on an imposed decision outside the Constitution of BiH, enabling the Prosecutor’s Office to prove such lies as truth – added Kovačević, who is also the spokesperson for SNSD.
Given that they are fully aware that it has nothing to do with the truth and reality, they resort to such measures that are nothing but political pressure on Republika Srpska for not yielding its interests for the sake of foreign and alien interests.
