Ambassadors have no right to interfere in the internal affairs of a country, regardless of which country they come from, stated the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Radovan Višković for RTRS.
- You have seen the explanation, statement, or position of the US Embassy in Sarajevo, which does not respect the Constitution of the country they are in. An embassy, regardless of how powerful the country it represents is, cannot behave in such a manner in a sovereign country – emphasized Višković.
Višković stated that “it is obvious that BiH is a protectorate.”
- It is more than clear that they believe BiH is not sovereign. Although they always refer to sovereignty in some statements, they themselves undermine that sovereignty. If this is a sovereign country, they cannot make such statements that are contrary to the Constitution of this country – said Višković.
Višković reminded that “the Constitution of this country clearly defines that property belongs to the entities, not the joint institutions.”
- And then an ambassador dares to tell us: “You know, there are court rulings and O’Brien said this when he was in BiH.” I don’t care what O’Brien said. I didn’t listen, nor am I interested. I respect the Constitution of this country, and the Constitution states that property belongs to the entities, and it will remain so. I respect America as the most powerful country in the world, but I cannot respect senseless explanations or statements, even if it’s from the US ambassador – Višković stressed.
Višković pointed out that “it insults intelligence and common sense to be told that some court ruling, made under influence, made politically, made by foreign judges, is above the Constitution of this country.”
- Sorry, it is not, cannot be, and will not be. Do not do that to the citizens and peoples living in these areas. It harms Bosniaks, Croats, and Serbs. The only progress, the only true path of development for this country and the peoples living here is for decisions to be made sovereignly by elected officials, representatives of all three constituent peoples and two entities in BiH. It is high time we thanked all these whisperers for their whispering, their advice, and said: “You know, we are grown up enough, intelligent enough, and educated enough to know what is best to do in the interest of the citizens we represent” – Višković stated.
Višković told Murphy that “regardless of which country you come from, you do not have the right to interfere in the internal affairs of a country.”
- Do not even try to transfer or attempt to transfer property from the entities to joint institutions. You will not succeed in that, whatever it means – concluded Višković.
