The traditional 16th International Fair of Agriculture, Economy, and Tourism “Days of Raspberry 2024” in Bratunac will be officially opened on Friday, June 14, with organizers expecting a record number of exhibitors.

The official program will begin at 11:30 AM, with the ceremony attended by representatives of the Government of Republika Srpska, as well as numerous other guests and dignitaries, announced the Organizing Committee of the two-day economic event.

Visitors to this year’s fair will be treated to a rich gastronomic offering with tastings of dishes and drinks from the Middle Podrinje and Birač regions, valuable prizes, and other activities defined in the program.

For the first time this year, in collaboration with the Regional Chamber of Commerce from Bijeljina, a regional conference on the topic “Integration of Regional Tourism Offer and Development of Local Products, Semberija, Birač and Majevica” will be held, featuring representatives from the Government of Republika Srpska, universities and academic institutions, local communities, and others.

The conference will be held in the fair hall after the official opening ceremony.

The event program will also include a Job Fair in collaboration with the Employment Service of Republika Srpska.

In addition to the exhibition part of the fair, visitors and guests will have the opportunity to attend two gastronomic competitions. There will be a competition for the best raspberry cake, as well as a cooking pot competition to be held at Bratunac’s Rajska beach by the Drina River.

An exhibition of artwork by students from elementary and high schools in Bratunac will be organized, as well as a masquerade involving children from the “Radost” kindergarten in Bratunac.

As in previous years, the owners of the best raspberry fields in the Bratunac municipality will be awarded at the fair.

Awards will also be given to the owners of the most beautiful and well-maintained yards and balconies in this municipality, as well as to the best booth at the fair.

A traditional dog show is also planned.

The fair will feature expert lectures and discussions on topics related to raspberry farming, as well as other agricultural branches.
