The summer tourist season at Jahorina will officially begin on June 27th with numerous new attractions and discounts prepared by the Jahorina Olympic Center for visitors. The goal is for Jahorina to become the most desirable summer destination in addition to being a popular winter destination.

On June 27th, Jahorina will “open its doors” for its summer activities.

Skydiving, an adrenaline park, cycling trails, panoramic gondola rides, and water attractions are just some of the activities that guests from around the world will enjoy this summer.

The Olympic Center has prepared a range of benefits and discounts for the citizens of East Sarajevo as well as the entire BiH.

  • 50% discount for all citizens of BiH on summer activities at Jahorina and six days free for all citizens of East Sarajevo, explained Dejan Ljevnaić, director of OC Jahorina.

Despite encountering so-called “green winters” with little snowfall over the past two years, the Olympic Center recorded a successful winter season with a profit of 340,000 KM.

  • Although we operated under extremely difficult conditions, we showed a profit. We increased the assets of the Olympic Center by 26 million KM. This is the best result of all investments and operations. This company, with all its assets and business, is worth 500 million KM on the market, said Nedeljko Elek, president of the Supervisory Board of the Jahorina Olympic Center.

Tourism is one of the most significant sectors of the economy for the city of East Sarajevo.

The cooperation between local communities and OC Jahorina with the Government of Republika Srpska will result in the installation of amenities on the mountain as well as the construction of a cycling trail worth one million KM.

  • The plan is to complete the project documentation in the next ten days, present it to the Government, and quickly come to a solution so that by the middle or end of the season, we have this realized, said Ljubiša Ćosić, mayor of East Sarajevo.

The management of OC Jahorina presented a certificate of appreciation to Mayor Ljubiša Ćosić for the most successful mountain cleaning campaign.
