A session of the UN General Assembly, where the proposed resolution on Srebrenica will be discussed, is set to take place today in New York.

The session is scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM.

The proposal includes, among other things, a provision that “July 11 be observed as the International Day of Remembrance for the ‘Genocide’ in Srebrenica.”

President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik stated that “the Srebrenica resolution imposes a moral and complete disqualification on Serbs, even on unborn children in these areas, as this will be its qualification.”

“The resolution insidiously establishes July 11 as the ‘International Day of Remembrance for Genocide,’ whereas, for example, it is not the day when Auschwitz was liberated. That is why Germany took and sponsored this kind of narrative,” said Dodik.

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, who is in New York, noted that the session will reveal “who our friends are and who our false friends are.”

Yesterday, at the United Nations, a panel titled “We Speak Because They Cannot – Voices That Are Heard” was held, featuring Serbs who experienced or witnessed crimes in past decades.
