Bosniaks in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be surprised by how many countries, even from the Islamic world, will not support the Srebrenica resolution in the UN General Assembly, stated the Minister for Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education, Željko Budimir.
- The Bosniak political elite, currently holding decisive positions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, views the issue of Bosniak victimhood as absolute. Although the resolution is non-binding, it will have a strong political impact and will further strengthen their thesis. This is why they are angry with the countries that oppose the resolution – emphasized Budimir.
Budimir warned that “as a result, they are becoming increasingly aggressive towards the other two peoples, especially towards the Serbs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, because if the Bosniaks are considered the absolute victims of the civil war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, then other victims cannot be treated the same.”
- The postponement of the vote is a consequence of the attempt to secure 100 countries to support the resolution at any cost. This is a propaganda trick which, in these changed circumstances, especially in the Middle East, aims to show that the West does not treat Muslims and Islam as enemies, even though America has been waging a war against Islam, especially in the Middle East, for almost 40 years – said Budimir.
