On the second day of the “Jahorina Economic Forum,” discussions were dominated by the topics of economic integration of the Western Balkans, covering all areas from agriculture and tourism to the introduction of new technologies in all aspects of life.

The forum’s message is that regional integration makes it easier to tackle the challenges posed by the EU.

The Open Balkan initiative is yielding results, with a 30 percent increase in economic exchange among the countries involved. This demonstrates that moving towards the EU is a common interest but also a one-way street.

The company Mtel, by eliminating roaming charges, exemplifies how a regional approach to cooperation can strengthen the region.

Mtel, alongside Austrian Telekom, is one of the most liquid companies in Europe.
