The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, stated to Srna that Denis Bećirović has surpassed himself with lies today before the UN Security Council, first by claiming to speak on behalf of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is a lie.

“There is no decision from the Presidency that allows Bećirović to speak on behalf of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Today, he spoke on behalf of the Bosniaks, those who elected him. Every claim he made today is as true as his claim that he speaks on behalf of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Dodik emphasized.

He pointed out that it will be recorded that a legally elected member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina pleaded with the UN Security Council not to abolish the colonial administration in Bosnia and Herzegovina and identified a man without legality and legitimacy as the only authorized person to speak before the UN Security Council.

“No one from Republika Srpska can nullify Bosnia and Herzegovina with a single action as much as Bećirović did today. The lies he spread about Republika Srpska, especially those about endangering peace, continue Bećirović’s and the Bosniak politics’ tradition of fabricating lies about Republika Srpska and Serbs,” the President of Republika Srpska pointed out.

He said it is absurd to go before the UN Security Council to complain about a signatory party to the Dayton Peace Agreement, which Republika Srpska is in all its annexes, and then accuse that same signatory of attacking the Dayton Agreement.

“Republika Srpska brought its sovereignty into the Dayton Agreement, despite Bećirović’s futile efforts to deny it. Republika Srpska was established before the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement, as it is impossible for something that is being created by an agreement to sign all the annexes of that agreement,” Dodik emphasized.

In one of those annexes, added the President of Republika Srpska, the issue of property is resolved, as Annex Four of the Dayton Peace Agreement, which is the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, specifies that property belongs to the entities.

“The Constitution specifies that everything not explicitly given to Bosnia and Herzegovina belongs to the entities. Property is not on the list of what belongs to Bosnia and Herzegovina according to that agreement,” Dodik explained.

Regarding Bećirović’s accusations against Serbia, Dodik stated that denying that Serbia is a guarantor of the Dayton Agreement is also a denial of that agreement, for which he persistently accuses Republika Srpska.

“To claim that Republika Srpska is threatening, as Bećirović says, with a new genocide warrants two questions: what was the old one, and is he even sane to utter such heavy and dangerous things so lightly?” emphasized the President of Republika Srpska.
