The Republika Srpska adopted a historic law on May 12, 1992, namely the Law on the Army of the Republika Srpska, emphasized President of the RepublikaSrpska Milorad Dodik.
- And the Serb people made pivotal decisions in 1992 to defend themselves. This obligates us, who still have much to contribute to Srpska today – Dodik stated.
He emphasized that the Republic of Srpska was created to preserve freedom for the Serb people.
- To be a state of the Serb people today, but also of other peoples who live here. We have always taken into account other peoples. And today we must be ready to secure freedom for the Serb people, but also for other peoples in Srpska – Dodik conveyed during the anniversary celebration of the founding of the Republika Srpska.
He reminded that Srpska was formed on January 9, 1992.
- We believed we would defend our republic through political means. Srpska was created with the aim of being an independent state. Great powers, arrogance towards us, stereotypes, and accusations imposed on us led to war – Dodik recalled.
