The statement by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz regarding respect for the sovereignty of BiH at a time when a German is imposing his will upon it is disappointing and part of the matrix repeated by leaders of Western European states, wrote Milorad Dodik, President of Republika Srpska, on his X account.
“To say that you support the rule of law and democracy, while at the same time expressing concern about the high representative, especially an illegal one, is worrying. As for Denis Becirovic, he, as usual, expressed the views of the people who elected him, which do not correspond to the truth or the facts about BiH, such as the lie that BiH is committed to NATO integration,” Dodik emphasized.
Dodik stressed that “Republika Srpska is not a minority in BiH, as Becirovic stated.”
“It is a constituent part of BiH that supports the Dayton Peace Agreement, but also friends like the Russian Federation. Given that the German Chancellor knows in what capacity Becirovic comes and speaks, and takes his words for granted, it also speaks to Scholz’s vision of BiH,” Dodik concluded.
Recall, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said today that the Government of Germany supports BiH’s European path and emphasized the need to strengthen further regional cooperation.
