Nenad Stevandić, the President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, stated that the UN General Assembly is not a relevant venue for any discussion about BiH. Instead, the Security Council, where the Serbian member of the Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, addressed the assembly, is the appropriate platform. She objectively presented the situation without insulting or belittling anyone in BiH.

  • /Ambassador of BiH to the UN/ Zlatko Lagumdžija and Christian Schmidt have been insulting Republika Srpska rather than addressing the problems of BiH. Their behavior is itself one of the problems of BiH, Stevandić emphasized.

He pointed out that it is now clear that there is no consensus even regarding the resolution on Srebrenica being prepared at the UN, advocated by Lagumdžija, who acts without a previously established stance from the Presidency of BiH, the only relevant place for conducting foreign policy.

  • There is no consensus or agreed stance of BiH in whose name it is proposed, and that constitutes a violation of the Constitution of BiH. The resolution is a Trojan egg sponsored by those who want unrest in BiH. After Cvijanović’s speech, many things will become clearer to those who were in doubt, Stevandić told Srna.

Željka Cvijanović, the Serbian member of the BiH Presidency, in her address to the UN Security Council, highlighted that BiH is currently facing several major challenges to peace and stability, most of which are used in various manipulations and initiated by both foreign and domestic political actors who aim to “rewrite” the Dayton Agreement, the Constitution of BiH, the laws of BiH, and international law.

Representatives from Russia have called an emergency session of the Security Council to warn that BiH is on the brink of an armed conflict, also because the Ambassador of BiH to the UN, Zlatko Lagumdžija, initiated the discussion on the resolution about Srebrenica without consensus.
