The ensemble “Venac” from Gračanica will hold a charity concert starting at 7 PM tomorrow in the large hall of the Cultural Center in Gradiška. The audience in Gradiška will be treated to traditional dances and songs from Kosovo and Metohija.

Founded in 1964 in Pristina as the national professional folklore ensemble of Kosovo and Metohija, “Venac” was expelled from Pristina on Vidovdan (St. Vitus Day) in 1999 and temporarily relocated to Niš.

In October 2003, the ensemble returned to work under very difficult conditions in Čaglavica, near Pristina. It operated there until 2008, after which it moved to Gračanica, where it is based today. “Venac” boasts a rich repertoire with more than 35 choreographies from Kosovo and Metohija.
