Nenad Nešić, the Minister of Security in the Council of Ministers, stated that Republika Srpska is ready to exist as an independent state if its competencies are not respected, as it has the territory, people, competencies, and many friends worldwide who would support it in this endeavor.

Nešić emphasized that Republika Srpska is giving Bosnia and Herzegovina a chance, but only through the Dayton Peace Agreement.

“If you don’t want Dayton, we have a peaceful separation,” said Nešić, responding to the statement by the Minister of Defense in the Council of Ministers, Zukan Helez, who had said that “in the case of Republika Srpska’s secession from BiH, it would lead to war,” and that he “tells President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and Nešić that there will be no secession nor will there ever be.”

He called on Helez to respect the Dayton Peace Agreement, as that is the only way for Bosnia and Herzegovina to survive, adding that without respecting the competencies of Republika Srpska, there is no BiH.

“I invite Mr. Helez to follow what Mr. Dodik and I are saying, which is that it is necessary to respect the Dayton Peace Agreement and the constitutional structure of BiH,” said the minister.

Commenting on the social media posts of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Federation of BiH, Rame Isak, who visited Srebrenica accompanied by his two sons with five official vehicles, Nešić described Isak as a “TikTok politician,” whose only concern is the number of likes and views.

“Everything he does, he does to be in the spotlight and to get likes, however, the number of likes and followers does not mean he will have that many votes in the elections,” said Nešić to Srna.

According to him, Isak goes from scandal to scandal, reminding that Isak tried to disrupt the story around BiH’s cooperation with Europol.

“When I came out in the media and said that many are on ‘Sky,’ that many arrests will happen, which is happening, and that’s why someone is bothered by BiH’s full cooperation with Europol, they made a problem, but they don’t talk about it anymore, because they saw that they can also be targets of investigations,” said Nešić, adding that it concerns “TikTok Rame.”
