The resolution on Srebrenica is a mere imposition, as it attempts to label the Serb people with collective responsibility, stated Ivan Stoilković, the leader of Serbs in North Macedonia, for RTRS.

“When you start to belittle the Serbs, then you begin to fabricate all sorts of things. This is also the case with the mentioned resolution. It is symptomatic when you are accused of genocide, and when you respond, you are accused of hate speech, while they are hailed as heroes of democracy,” Stoilković pointed out.

He emphasized the importance of not falling for provocations and not making rash decisions.

“I believe that the leadership of Republika Srpska and Serbia will respond in the best way possible and protect their people,” said Stoilković.

He noted that it is fortunate that the vote on the Srebrenica resolution, which the United Nations General Assembly was set to decide on May 2nd, was postponed last night.

“However, the resolution itself has no binding effect and will only serve as a basis for new discord or disputes in the region. It is important to be patient and wait for the right opportunity,” Stoilković advised.

We remind you, after the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia decided to co-sponsor the resolution on Srebrenica, Stoilković opposed the decision and Bosniak parties in North Macedonia have filed criminal complaints against him.
