Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Staša Košarac, emphasized that the policy of Republika Srpska is one of peace and stability, respect for the Dayton Agreement and the Constitution, and the agreement between the two entities and three constituent peoples. He stated that no one from Srpska is calling for conflict or inciting any kind of unrest.
“However, this does not prevent irresponsible individuals and groups from the FBiH from spreading a false narrative in public that unrest is being prepared in Srpska, that people are arming themselves and gathering, that there are suspicious military camps and other similar falsehoods. This false narrative is conceived in the kitchens of certain Western embassies and services,” Košarac emphasized.
According to a well-worn pattern, he noted, this false narrative is adopted and spread by local executors of Western needs, introducing fear and unrest among the citizens.
“It wouldn’t surprise me if the other side were to create an incident. No one in Bosnia and Herzegovina needs this, nor does it serve anyone’s honor. Come to your senses!” Košarac urged.
He highlighted that the Serb people, Republika Srpska, its leadership, and especially President Milorad Dodik are daily targets of almost every official from the FBiH, attacking without arguments, evidence, insulting, and spreading hatred.
“The truth is that Srpska wants to democratically resolve issues that do not function in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We achieve our political goals in a democratic way. We do not agree with many policies coming from the FBiH, supported by foreign factors. We disagree and will never support the undermining of the Dayton structure and the Constitution. It is clear that we are against the arbitrary and unilateral actions of individuals from the FBiH, like Zlatko Lagumdžija and similar figures.
Srpska will not tolerate attacks on the Serb people. We will not consent to cunning traps and intentions to demonize us. We will not allow labels that do not belong to us to be placed on us based on forgeries. Our fight is institutional and democratic,” Košarac posted on Instagram.
He called on all citizens not to fall for misinformation, manipulation, and provocations.
“The citizens of Srpska trust its institutions, leadership, police, and other competent bodies. We will never sacrifice peace for anything. Peace and stability are priceless,” Košarac declared.
