Banja Luka is currently a hub for swimming. Kliment Kolesnikov and Yuliya Efimova are just some of the swimmers who will participate in the International Swimming Meet “April 22.”

The meet, organized by “April 22,” is being held for the 18th time and will feature 550 swimmers from all around the world, including swimmers from Russia who are unable to compete on the international scene. Among the participants will be the world record holder in the 50 meters backstroke, Kliment Kolesnikov, and multiple champion Yuliya Efimova.

The first to arrive in Banja Luka were members of the national team of the Netherlands. The biggest swimming stars from this country are training at several locations, and four female swimmers and three male swimmers with coach Chase Robinson have arrived in Srpska.

“We have been in Banja Luka for a few days now, invited by the people from April 22, whom we met at a winter camp. Our first impressions are excellent, the pool is great, and we have all the necessary conditions for training. I’ve seen the list of participants and I must say that we are expecting a high-quality competition. The Olympics are coming up and everyone is starting their preparations for Paris,” states Chase Robertson, coach of the Dutch team.

The swimming meet organized by April 22 will take place on Saturday and Sunday, with finals scheduled for both days at 5:30 PM.
