At the “Filip Višnjić” National Library in Bijeljina, the book “Proverbs and Idioms of Semberians” by Ostoja Krstić was promoted.
Krstić stated that this book is a continuation of his “Semberski Dictionary” published in 2005, and was created with the goal of preserving Cyrillic and Serb tradition and culture.
“To repay my native region, I felt the need to collect words in the ‘Old Semberian Dictionary’. I selected 4,000 words that include Slavic customs, fairs, shepherd’s games, and even some recipes. The book is a logical continuation of that dictionary,” said Krstić.
