The Minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, Siniša Karan, has called on prosecutors to initiate criminal proceedings ex officio against those who are raising tensions and unsettling citizens in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“The calls by the Bosniak National Council for citizens to self-organize, as well as previous statements by the Minister of Defense in the Council of Ministers, Zukan Helez, about alleged camps in Republika Srpska have only one goal – to create tensions among the constituent peoples in BiH. Such calls and statements are irresponsible, frivolous, but also malicious,” Karan says, adding that they damage the people.
According to him, there are no relevant indicators that could substantiate a single word of those who make such calls and comments.
“The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, along with other agencies in BiH, is investigating the causes and sources of those who make such statements. We will take measures wherever we find relevant information, and we are already dealing with these findings,” Karan asserted, adding that this is part of the overall campaign against the political resolution on Srebrenica.
Karan reassures citizens that they should not be worried.
