President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik stated that May 2nd, the planned date for the discussion of the Srebrenica resolution at the UN General Assembly, marks the day when BiH essentially ceases to exist.

“We live with people who label the Serb nation as ‘genocidal’. You will not experience that from me. Maybe I am wrong, but this is how I live and feel,” emphasized Dodik.

He pointed out that from now on, discussions at the BiH level will not occur as they did before, and he described the move by the ambassador at the UN, Zlatko Lagumdžija, who ignored the stance of the BiH Presidency when submitting the request for the resolution discussion, as not obstruction but a reflection of this stance.

“How long do they think they can continue like this? We will definitely not forgive this! We refuse to live with you in the same country, whether you like it or not,” Dodik highlighted.

Dodik asserts that he will not leave BiH, as politicians in the Federation of BiH might hope, nor will he be imprisoned as they suggest.

“I will stay in Republika Srpska and lead it as long as the people vote for Milorad Dodik. When they do not, I will respect whoever the people choose. I might disagree with their policies, but I will respect the will of the people,” stated Dodik.

Dodik noted that the “Troika” parties currently enjoy some support from the international community.

“However, internal support is always most crucial. What they are doing now shows they are ready to make concessions to stay in power, but we do not operate on the principle of concessions; we do not need that,” said Dodik.

He explained that this applies to the Election Law and the Law on the Court, which are key issues for the functioning of BiH.

“They have lost all possibilities to negotiate with them. There is no need to negotiate about that,” Dodik remarked.

He also pointed out the falsehoods of US foreign policy officials against him, especially concerning the electoral process.
